  • Carry out bookkeeping tasks on clients as directed
  • Take on projects to correct clients bookkeeping systems
  • Perform Bank reconciliations for all clients
  • Perform all relevant control account reconciliations as directed
  • Use Dext and other apps as directed to improve the efficiency of the work we do
  • Prepare VAT returns ready for review by the client manager
  • Plan own time to maximum efficiency, manage personal time and working practices to maximize profitability and protect the good reputation of the firm.
  • Maintain the highest standards of personal organisation.
  • Consistently achieve good feedback from clients and staff by delivering a high standard of client service both internally and externally.
  • Comply with the firm’s policies, procedures and ethical standards.
  • Fulfil ongoing obligation to Continuing Professional Development and take an active role in own personal development

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in the use of accounting software such as Xero, Sage, Big Red Book, Quick Books etc.
  • Knowledge of core accounting apps such as Dext
  • Ability to use sector software, in particular Excel, Word and e-mail systems.
  • To be able to draft letters which are commercially sensible and appropriate to the client's situation
  • Effective communication skills – fluency in English essential.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well within a team but also to be able to work alone
  • Be solutions focused.
